For years, the City of Orange was only able to upgrade the parks partially based off funding from limited grants. With the new "Open Space" tax, the opportunity for more advanced park development was possible. As of today, our city parks are on pace to be revitalized completely.
Colgate Park Pool has undergone a complete redevelopment. Central Playground received new fitness equipment, playground resurfacing and play equipment upgrades and Metcalf Park has new basketball courts.
The future renovations will include the Ropes Playground and Colgate Park Basketball Courts which will begin renovation in September 2023.
